The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution benefits from a tremendous amount of aftermarket support, and this example illustrates that point well. It boasts over $60,000 (!!) in modifications, and it has a whopping 757 horsepower from a crate engine installed in 2021 – so I bet this Evo is MUCH faster than an unmodified example. The suspension and brake modifications should allow the driver to make the most of the extra power, too – and I like that this Evo looks nearly stock when viewed from the outside. It also touts a clean, accident-free Carfax report for peace of mind – and it has reasonably low mileage.
Highlights
THIS… is a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR, finished in Burple with a black interior.
The attached Carfax history report lists no accidents in this sedan’s past.
Invoices pictured in the gallery detail over $61,000 in repairs, maintenance, and modifications performed on this Lancer since February 2021. The list of modifications reported by the seller includes an AMS Performance Stage 2 crate engine, a TephraXMOD V3 tune, an Extreme Turbo Systems turbocharger kit, a Boostin Performance Double Pumper fuel system, Injector Dynamics ID2000 fuel injectors, a Boostin Performance H-pattern shifter, an EXEDY HD Hyper Twin clutch kit, a Magnus Motorsports clutch master cylinder, an Evolution VII-sourced rear differential, 18-inch Titan 7 wheels, Hawk Performance brake pads, Burple paint, APR Performance carbon fiber door mirrors, and Sparco Chrono Road front seats. Some of the removed factory parts and some spare parts (including an engine) are included in the sale.
Mitsubishi’s 10th and final Lancer Evolution arrived for 2008. It gained a new, more powerful engine, a revised suspension system, and a design inspired by sharks and fighter jets, according to the company. MR denoted an automatic transmission; stick-shifted variants were called GSR. Mitsubishi canceled the Lancer Evolution in 2016, and it all but confirmed the model will not return in the foreseeable future.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, rated at 291 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The modifications increase those figures to 757 and 522, respectively, when the engine burns E85 fuel, according to a dyno sheet pictured in the gallery. The engine spins the four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
